ACK Media today announced their film strategy and a new studio venture to make India’s first stereoscopic animated 3d film based on popular tinkle toon ‘Suppandi’. The 85 min feature film would be made in Hindi and launched in November 2010.

An exclusive five min preview was organized for the media to show how characters can come alive with the indigenously developed stereoscopic technology
. The film will be an action adventure which brings alive the misadventures of Suppandi the lovable goof who gets into trouble all the time.

ACK Media CEO Samir Patil said “We have ventured into television and also into consumer products but when we thought of films we needed to have that technology edge to make a difference and so we opted for stereoscopy. The major challenge was to get the economics of this technology in accordance to Indian market. For this feature we are looking at a budget of 10 crores at the lower end.”
